I joined IDDBA as the President and CEO in 2014 after 36 years in grocery. At IDDBA, I work with an active Board of Directors and staff to develop services and programs serving the dairy, deli, bakery, cheese, and supermarket foodservice industries.
In grade school, I started working in the family supermarket. Then, worked at D&W Food Centers where I was the Director of Food Service before becoming Vice President of Fresh Foods, heading up the meat, produce, deli, bakery, seafood, floral, and chef departments, as well as leadership responsibilities for the Central Kitchen, Meat Plant and Food Safety Departments. I finished my retail career at H.E.B in Texas as Director of Deli, Cheese and Prepared food
My career in the food industry is a perfect fit. I enjoy great food and have a love of specialty cheese and specialty food. I continue to learn every day and share my knowledge and experiences with those around me and am excited to see this community develop.
